Help: compressing an .mov to 50MB

so my promo is about 170MB and i need to compress it to less than 50MB. Im using a mac. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DO THIS?

what program are you editing in? In imovie you would go to file then to share then to the quicktime section and then choose whichever thing suits you needs, there should be a full quality option, a web streaming option, etc. Choose the one that makes it less than 50 mbs. Hopefully that works.....
i just checked and in the newer version of imovie you go to share and then to export using quicktime then change the settings to like high quality streaming, you might have to switch it around a alittle and do some guessing and then checing the size but you should be able to figure it out eventuallly

how long is it? if it's around 4 minutes use these settings and you should be good
export from final cut
h.264
600x338 (if hi def) 600x450 (if standard def)
limit bit rate to 2,500
one pass
