Cults # of members not increasing?

is there a reason for this? I like to see my cults keep growing, I keep adding kids and the number never changes from 1,438 for example for the CC

Haven't the cult #'s been messed up for a while? Like, PH says there are 118 members when really there are only 62.

haha I was just wondering this the other day. The COD4 cult still says theres only 17 members when theres like 75+ now.
