in scotland the resorts are not huge but are still really good but still some people are like 'you can ski in scotland!!!?' it really annoys me!

When I have a gopro and people say "What is it" some kid though it was a phone....also when your filming and a kid goes in front of your shot and asks you "Are you filming pros?"

I always un do my boots in the que at the lifts and i always get

gaper: 'your boots are undone'

me: 'yeah i know i undid them...'

gaper: 'can you still ski like that?'

me: 'oh dear.'

So my buddy is not really a gaper, but he used to be sponsored for racing.

This one day at whis, we built a pow jump which everyone was flipping, so my buddy gets on top of it for his last hit and says:"Ok, im gonna try one of those things... I don't know what its called but im gonna do it!". A whole second into the air, he turns his body into a lincon loop/flatspin and opens up, lands on his head and breaks his pole. hes still alive if your wondering.

Never let your racer friends try tricks unless you want them to die.

me nd my friends stopped by this gymnast place that has all kinds of foam pits and tramps to see if we could do an opn gym sort of thing.
my friend- is there any kind of open gym here so we can practice our flips for skiing?

Over heard two kids talking at the top of the park...One was a skier...the other was on a carver board.

Skier:"What trick should I do off the jump?"

SNB:"I don't know...there are not many things you can do on skis unless you start spinning. How bout a back scratcher?"

Skier: "Nah, back scratchers are too easy.

Skier: (Proceeds to "Lui Kang" grab off the jump.)

All the while I'm waiting to drop. :)

Also...On the lift with old gaper dude (pretty nice guy tho)

Gaper:"Is there an event going on over in that course? (Pointing to the beginner park where there were a bunch of five year olds side jumping.)

Me:"No I dont think so...)

Gaper:" Is that course just for boarders?

Me:"No....(I then start to laugh because a gaper just ate shit off a jump to my right.)

i dont see how this is a gaper quote. if i bring my caylors and we end up taking a park run, i dont hit any rails.

also need to mention that if i have my park skis, im pretty good at rails, just i dropped 900 on a pow set up, and dont want to ruin the bases with rails

i have a friend who basically stopped racing. This one day he was called to fill in for some guy. He beat them all on K2 revivals...

a few friends and i built a jump at crystal in early season. These hard core gapers were sessioning it with us and they kept doing turns down the run in, it got really anoying because they ruined the jump. Anyway, one of them tells me the most devastating story i have ever heard. His dad was hard core christian and the kid brought home a pair of hellbents, the dad chopped them in half with a power saw and did not pay the kid back or anything.

i was on the chair with two kids who were talking and they looked down at some people taking carve turns on a groomer and looks at his little gaper buddy and says "why are they taking turns there arent any bumps" this kid thought that unless there are bumps on the run you dont take turn. classic

99% of gapers are out skiing because they enjoy the sport! They may not have the same drive as a nser does but they definitely love skiing!

I've recently lost patience for gapers at Grouse, in Vancouver. Haha there's a large portion of riders who are very obviously on their first legs trying the sport, and I have run out of imaginable ways for them to continue to get in the way.. Everywhere! I know it's not a quote but if you ski Grouse you know what I'm talking about :P

Saw a few kids take their skis off say "Oh there's a ski rack," put them on a flat box (which is next to Cobra Dogs in PC), and get in line for food.

and i saw at least 3 people at different times sitting on the start of some down boxes, thinking they were seats.

at northstar i saw some gapers climb up and pose for a picture on a hitchpost-log jib. there were some pissed off snowboarders..

today i was on the lift over the park and this little kid went off the lip of a rail and then goes on a small quarter pipe and procedes to eat shit falling backwards. he gets up and yellls to his friend "i just did a SICK jump"

the WORST one I get is from some of the people in my school when I talk to them about trick skiing. I asked a kid if he had twin tips and he said yeah sort of. I looked at his skis and they were rossi race skis but the backs of the skis were curved up maybe 1/2 an inch. He's actually pretty cool, he hits urban on dfd with them, so I gave him my shitty solly foils with 9 din binders until he can buy his own.
