Driving 2 hood

wondering if anyone has made the drive from the east coast... how shitty it really ? cuz its the only way we'd have a car out there this summer, makes things a lot easier , dont feel like trying to bum rides from govy everyday

That is a long drive and gas is expensive.  How long do you plan on staying in oregon?

Me and my friend are driving out to hood from atlanta.  It will be pretty expensive cause its just too people, but well stay out there the entire summer.  If you have like 4 people, you could split it up pretty easily.  If you drive you could stop at places like beartooth and yellowstone(i think a basin and st marys glacier in co would be out of your way coming from the NE), but you can always stop for a couple days at a cool place to rest and do cool shit.  I would drive.  Doin road trips is fun(especially with a car charger for your laptop and a bunch of ski movies)

thats far man now with the price of gas and depending on what kind of gas u need / what car u have u could always fly out for cheap and rent a car for the summer but idk that could be more

we've already done the math its about $150 per person round trip... a lot cheaper than tickets and we can leave whenever this way. be staying for at least 4 weeks

it say its a 50 hour drive. With a bunch of adderal, weed, dank playlists, movies and navigation i think it would be manageable


And you have to be at least 25 to rent a car...

what you need is, minivan with tv, xbox, laptops, ect...    minivan kills SUV for gas, lots of room for all your crap, lots of room,(compared to car)  to sit in and sleep..  

once you have these, its really not that hard to pound out 20hour days, if you have at least 3 drivers ..

My Story:

San Diego, California to Kingston, Ontario

We did it in 3 days with three people

Car: Jeep Commander w/U-Haul attached

Total cost: I'm not going there, but the burgers at whitecastle are 50 cents each!

hrs per day: 15

total stops: 2, one in utah and one in iowa

i was thinkin of driving out there and sleeping in my car or tent for a few weeks and skiing with some friends, but i gotta work i think to have money for next ski season, so thats prob more important than hood in the summer

I made the drive from new hampshire to salt lake city. It kind of sucked, but was an awesome experience to see the parts of the country that I have never seen

well worth the trip. i went from ithaca to hood this summer with my homies, took like 3 or 4 day and just kinda messed around and made it fun. we skated so many good spots on the way too

drove from PA... it was fucking awesome.

just make sure you take your time and leave earlier than you'd expect just so you're not rushed.

and avoid shitty states, i.e. ohio, etc.

West Virginia - Kentucky - and so on.

not that those states are better than Ohio - they just have more things that are visually pleasing, compared to flat land and corn fields...

ive done it from new hampshire to hood, and then vice versa. 1st time week long trip with bunch of 2 of my buddys,, had a blast. checked out chi town and aspen, stopped in mamm to ski.
got in some shit in utah, but it was all good.
Las Vegas, not necessary
saw lots of good places had some good laughs

way back me an my homey. he was only drivin. did it 1 day to wymoing. then non stop to new hampshire. it was ridick. took us 2 1/2 days.
lots of flat and boring

govy is pretty much the life in the summer
mellow. real ghetto. pbr 40z. sunshine

definitiyl a worthwhile journey and one that you dont get many opportunities to make

We drove from PA to Whistler last summer. I can't say it wasn't rediculously hectick, but we rushed it alittle bit and ended up only stopping for food, gas, etc. Gas is supposedly going to be 4.00 a gallon by this summer,  I would take that into account.  It is deffinately going to be an experience man, I can deffinately say that.
