I have been skiing Bachelor for the past few days and there has been insane amounts of snow. on Wednesday i skied in close to 30 inches of the lightest pow pow. ever since then there has been at least 10 inches everynight. The only thing that sucks is that Bachelor is so fucking flat.  I hate it. I was skiing on a pair of skis that were about 100 underfoot and I was still not staying on top. ugh. Oh and in town there is about 15-20 inches (depending on where you go).

Went to Hood today, took a run with some buddies and at the end we all just sat at the bottom and looked up with our jaws open, nobody said anything for a while, it was that good

Mt. Ashland was blower today. They were closed Thursday because it was snowing 2" an hour and they couldn't get the road open, so today it was a free-for-all for all the new snow. I gotta say the Bowl is the steepest skiing I've had yet in Oregon, steeper than anything at Hood by far!

we are expecting another 8-13 inches in town by sunday night. so sick. and on the mountain we are expecting 24 inches at Bachelor by sunday night. However you can never trust the weather forecasters.

this shit is getting ridiculous....it hasnt stopped snowing for like 6 days. the snow goes a foot above my window....thats like 4 feet.

youre somewhat right, im maybe not the most educated scholar out there on the topic, but i also know that "skiing is dissapearing" and that we are "going to have no snow in the future", and that we have snowfall up at meadows this winter that hasnt happened in at least 5 years. so i am merely making the statement that this winter at Hood has so far disproved every global warming theory out there that i have heard of. thats all....

i was at meadows yesterday and my buddy and i just explored Private Reserve and found a spot where it was literally chest deep when you were just standing there and we couldn't see anyone else's tracks, face shots the whole time!!! I LOVE SNOW!

at bachelor if the snow is above your knees there are no runs where you are safe from the possibility of it being too flat to be able ride out of.....

this happened to me on sunday at the 2 bowl cliff (maybe some of you saw me from the blue chair or the hood express at around 11?):

i typed this up on sunday and copied and pasted it from the cult:

went off a 15ish cliff and did a 360 and landed it clean, but i was a bit forward and my chin hit my knee hard that i just blacked out for a few sec.  felt like someone punched me, i was fucking confused how it happened and i didnt move for like 5 min cause i just wanted to relaxed a bit.  my chin was bleedin a bit, my knee and chin is bruised up.  now i still dont get how my bicep got hurt, its either pulled or got hit somehow and i cant move it cause it hurts like hell, so i got a sling.  i still got a headache.


i feel better now, especially my arm it doesn't hurt as bad now and its recovering fast.  i figured it out, i probably hit my knee like throwing my arm out and down upon impact.

Bummer dude. Pretty much every one of those cliffs in the bowls, although tempting, have flat landings. I've had two buddies blow their knees on that 2 Bowl cliff.

yea this powder is gnarly! but dont get me wrong, i want to ski some HRM park, and be able to clear every table without casing, like the good old days (last year). But im stoked, were gonna have such a big base at meadows to hold up during the spring, more cascade park YIPPEY!
