My camera always detects condensation, thus i can't film, how major of a problem is this, new camera or new sensor?

I don't know man, call up the company and get it checked out. Or if you're trying to film underwater, get a box for it.

Place your camera in a plastic bag before you go out and keep it there for about an hour. This should help.

keep the camera in an airtight bag before use...and it helps to have a portable hair dryer...you can open the tape bay and dry it out

you gotta give the camera a chance to get used to the cold. Same theory as a car that fogs. when you take something from a warm environment to a cold environment rapidly, it will create condensation, which if it gets on the head, completely ruins anything you shoot. Throw the camera in a ziplog freezer bag, and throw it in your backpack, let it sit in the backpack while skiing for like 15 min. Take the bag out and let it sit in the bag but OUTSIDE the backpack for 5. Then take it out completely. This should be gradual enough for condensation to not occur. Best of luck, u might have to play with the times.
and whoever said use a hairdryer, thats a horrible idea. Unless it has a cool setting, the head will screw with things even more. And even on cool, id be hard pressed to ever use that on my xl1s
