broke my femur yesterday!  but at least we got the shot on a super wicked 40 ft. down/down rail.  i'll post a pre-fall pic later.
sucky though... i'm still in the hospital for another day or two.

Wow..must have been a hard fall..where at?..my first good fall was on a 40 foot downer also..but i fortunatley didint come out of it with a broken femur...Im sorry for you...good luck on your recovery

if it makes you feel any better, i got acl surgery and spent all summer rehabbing it so i could ski and on my 3rd day out some joey cut me off and i fucked it up again.  it sucks and i feel your pain, i wish i was hoeplessly obsessed with something that wasnt so dangerous

I'm really sorry to hear that. You are probably sick of people giving you healing advice, but I will say this, it is not good to try to do too much too fast. You want that shit to heal strong and right. Make sure you get a really good PT person and listen to what they say, and do the stretches and exercises they perscribe even if it seems lame, be religious about it!

surpizingly i have no cast.  but i have 40 sutures, 3 pins, and a 2.5 ft long titanium rod inserted through the bone.

it hurts a lot now, but actually they pain could be worse.  it just sucks being so immobile.  i can't even get out of bed on my own...  but they could have given me some better pills... all i have is some perks.

If it's only the femur, that acually heals suprisingly fast with rods like that. I broke my femur a number of years ago, but also nuked my ACL at the same time....... if my ACL hadn't gone with it I'd probably have been catching turns that spring.
