I was told to wait for the ski expo to buy my gear. I passed up some good shit until then...damnit. Pilchuck had stuff cheaper than online but I was like I'll wait for the expo. I was also thinking that if I spend so much at one shop/place I'd get a discount.

You might want something stiffer than the Spks to push the Bacons around, just a thought.

I have another pair of stiff ass boot already, but the Bacons are very flexible and I won't be doing a lot of steep open face hard charging, more of booters and jibbing in th BC and fuckin around on.

you're not gonna get much discount on those items.

Goddamnit, well I'll still go and check it out, and if the prices suck I'll see what Pilchuck can do for me or Sturts, and if they suck I'll buy online. I like to try and support local shops when I can though.

the expo is a shit show... people there have no power to make deals, except the managers of sturts, who are busy as fuck. basically go into a shop and youd have beetter luck. seattle ski has px's and oakley shit, brian could prolly cut you a deal if you buy two sets of bindings and outwear

the stuff you're looking for (especially the skis) is new and usually in limited quantities.
You won't find amazing deals on skis like the bacons, despite having
all of the local shops there.
Good bindings, however, are easy
and cheap to get online. Probably to your advantage to do that, rather
than try to buy some at expo.
Clothes, same deal. If you have to 08 oakley shit (which everybody and their mom will have) then you'll be paying a cuter price. Closeout stuff (like 07 stuff) online, or in some shops (and possibly expo) could be decently priced.

I'm not getting 08 Oakley.
I guess I'll go to the expo and check it out, may be worth a shot.
Does sturts have better prices than Pilchuck?
I always go to Pilchuck but they don't have SPK boots.
Does sturts have SPK boots?

evo says they will have amazing deals, if this will be true I don't know, but you do get a nifty $20 gift certificate at evo if you buy from them. But if you can get a hold of a backcountry.com code that would be probably be cheaper.

sorry for a triple post but, here is a code for backcountry.com 20%off
1Y0-1-3ZSMQ
Not good on Western Mountaineering, The North Face, Burton, Nixon, Patagonia Footwear, Arc’teryx, sunglasses, skis, ski boots, ski bindings, snowboards, snowboard boots, snowboard bindings, gift certificates, or lift tickets.
There will probably be another code in a week or two.

Boo, if you do that I will tell all my boot fitting amigos to size you wrong since you won't be buying, when you buy at a store you are paying for the service that comes with it.
