yeah dude i agree. the only thing remotely school spirited I did in high school was play in the ultimate frisbee tournament as a senior. our team was all my friends and we never practiced once. the championship match was in front of the whole school vs this junior team of little toolbags who practiced every day after school for 2 weeks. we won the first 2 games but lost the third, so it was kinda anticlimactic but whatev.
we were ill nasty though

hell yea, my bros and i got detentions for not standing or cheering at our pep rally,
like in our school we have these little clicks and mine is like go rock n roll, fuck school (even though we all get ok grades) so we were in the top of the stands and we werent cheering and the Principal came and said if we dont cheer we r in trouble, so the exchange student from hong kong, fourtune stood up and said "sabers suck"(my schools team) and we all started laughing, then the principal gave us detentions

At my school 90% of the football players are like that, trust me. And HS is alright cause I'm a senior but certain things just piss me off, I'm ready to move on I guess, but I'm gonna make it a fat year in any case. And ya, skipping assemblies is fat. But having them in the first place is just stupid.
I guess the main point was that I'm sick of the reasons for why people think other kids are cool and for what reasons people are "popular".

I get amped the fuck up when I'm out on the pitch, but not if I'm in the stands watching a bunch of fags hit each other and think that they are the best people ever.
Now I honestly am not a gay kid who hates football cause it obviously is a very hard sport to play, and I don't play it, not because I can't though.

we dont have a homecoming dance or any spirit assemblies at my school, but we do have alot of school spirit and I think its awesome. Most people in my school do as well, its mostly just our teachers making fools of themselfs, or people with a sense of humer dressing up in 80's spandex for the terry fox run every year.
last year none of the kids from diff countrys on exchanges would do anything like diss the mascot, they all liked our school alot. Infact they got really into the school spirit at the end by doing a big rap half in german half in english infront of the school at the end of the year assembly.
