I just got the rossy axial 2 ti and i was wonder what this pivoting piece on the floor of the front toe piece is? anyone know?

the axitec? it aides in the lateral release of the boot during a fall

Its called "Axitec" on rossignol bindings. Its a raised portion of plastic that slides laterally to help let your boot out of the binding. The Axium, Axial, and Scratch bindings have these, while the FKS has an AFD pad- which id teflon, and is stationary.
