I just watched 1242 for the fucks knows how many'th time.
watched tanners seggy in total awe as i always do. but when i see that first left-side cork 3, it always becomes a real nostalgic moment for me.

so, so smooth. he barely moves a muscle. landing so easily, so corked. that is what this sport is about to me, and i will always look back on that one trick as the reason i fell in love with skiing i rekon

watching second generation on RSN tv, and then seeing Derek Klick doing alleyopp flat 5s in the pipe the very next day. In strike 3 and the film that freedle coty (sp?) put out the next year im standing in the backgrounds of the shot. Yeah, im cool.

That comp Johnny "Big Air" Mosley put on after he won the Olympics and I remember the announcers saying how he was at a disadvantage because he didn't have twin tips. But yea I had been skiing before that just really the first time I had seen Newschool skiing. I definitely hit up the snowboard park on my rentals to hit jumps way before that.

I was maybe 12 or 13, and I remember building a raggity ass tiny jump on a closed trail, at night, (we have night skiing where I am), and just throwing myself off it until I landed a 360.

I was hooked on freeskiing at that time. I always liked hitting jumps though. Also poached closed runs and went off the rail in search of fine "lines" all the time.

I had always skied at my local mountain for fun, but one day i was just looking at random videos on Google video and i saw this video:

I remember picking up the 1999 Powder Photo Annual when I was like 15 and just being blow away by everything I saw in it. That was the point when I knew I wanted to change the way I skied.

i've been skiing since i was about 2 years old and its always been my favorite thing to do

but the thing that got me into newschool skiing.......was probably the first ski movie i ever saw which i think was yearbook

my dad tells me he used to take me to the hill when i was 4 just to watch. the following year, i was on skis. I think I always loved it but when I went to COC when I was 13 and saw the whole lifestyle aspect of it, I was hooked.
