They suck and everything skullcandy makes suck. I'm sorry to break it to everyone on NS. They look nice but they sound like utter shit. You can do soo much better for the price.
agreed. i bought some skullcandy smokin buds that were on sale to have a beater pair of earbuds. obviously as a beater pair, my expectations were pretty low. they ended up way worse than i could've even imagined and sound like tin cans.
go there and read up if you want some decent headphones.
brands
AKG
Sennheiser (sp?)
Grado
Sony had a few decent pairs
I've heard audio technica is good
how much are you willing to spend?
In my opinion AKG 81 DJ's are the best headphones on the market for that price. I got mine brand new for $60. The bass is mad good on these headphones and all around sound is great (mid and highs as wlel).
i dont really mind my skullcandy smokin buds. there a hell of alot better then my ipod headphones... and my t.i's are good enough for me. all you people saying that skullcandys suck and t.i's are pieces of shit dont really know much. unless your listening to c.d's you cant really upgrade the quality much more then t.i's for mp3's... you can only get a certain amount of quality out of compressed mp3's. sure there are better ones but there not that bad.
Sony makes a great pair of studio headphones, which I picked up at WalMart for $20. MV-150 I think is the model, they're shaped similar to skullcandys but are plain black, no flash all function, but still look pretty dope. Thick, and long cable, and comes with a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter, great for plugging into your guitar amp to play late night without waking the rents. And they sound dope. Basically these were the standard baller headphones before Skullcandys came around.
but you are soo wrong. listen to some AKG or Beyer Dynamic or Grado or Sennheiser and you will know what you have been missing. its not even close. I used to think my ti were decent, but they really are shit.
didn't you hear me.....ROCKS MY SOCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKS mutha fucka!
ok heres the deal. yeah skull candy makes headphones with woofers. but they sound like shit compared to other headphones. if your looking for a nice set of headphones that sound really good buy Sony MDR-7506 Professionals.
i had a pair of sennheiser earbuds and they were pretty good but i broke them which was very dissapointing. and for 60$ they werent that great. and my friends has a pair of sennheiser headphones and eh, i wouldnt prefer them over mine and his were 40$ more.
i rock the sony mdr-v700. i like them but i wish the cord wasn't 40,000 feet long. whatever, they're meant for DJing anyway. I saw a pair of JBLaudio headphones the other day. has anyone ever used those. i know they make legit speakers but never heard of them before in the headphone game.
yeah skull candy is a little overpriced and shitty
but if you do get some
go with the icon/recruit. They stay on my head, are loud enough to go through a hat, look pretty cool, and arent ridiculously expensive.
