Advice if you've ridden armada's

im looking into getting new skis this year. i weight roughly 140 pounds and im 6 feet. last year i rode line chronics and the flex on them was pretty fun. i ski mostly park and pipe. every once in a while i get a trip to the mountains for powder but my chronics worked fine for me there for the amount of pow skiing i do.
im looking at either the new t-halls or the new AR6's, it says the t-halls are flexier for buttering, i dont want anything to flexy to take to the pipe tho.
just wondering if anyones ridden either ski to tell me what theyre like.

The AR6's are fairly similar to the chronics. They'll handle everything just as well. The T-halls are quite a bit softer, making them worse for just about everything but buttering.

If you're just doing park, get the thalls. ME big eheath can stomp 70ft jumps on them and not wash out, they are money. plus they since they are soft they butter like none other.

Yeah bro, 2 posts above are word.
The thall really is going to be too buttery, they destroy the park, but all mountain they just flex everywhere, in the pow they suck, far to soft.
best bet is the AR6, if you can get last years model in either then they are exactly the same and like 200bucks cheaper.

Go with the AR6's, you will like them much more. I have the last year of AR5's Armada made and if they werent in urban condition I would like them a bunch more than the T-Halls I picked up this spring. The T-Halls are way too soft. They are almost scary on bigger jumps and pipe, but of course better with butters etc. Personally I like my AR5's much more for everything including rails.

Give the El Ray a shot too. Buy mine! May wanna demo, but I think it rides all mountain great. Little more versatilve than AR6. People are a little skiddish because of the cap, but I think you'll find it rides super well, and burly tough as well. I got a pair of protos w/ race base I'll sell ya for $400. All white so you definitely look like you know what you're doing - which is very important these days.

I'm 6 foot 175 and I love my ar6s. real nice for just about everything. not sure how the flex would be for you but they are plenty soft for me.

sounds like you would LOVE the 175 AR5/AR6 ( don't shun the older models, they are pretty much the same for cheeper). I found the flex is PERFECT, a little softer then the chronics, but still got the pop.
But if you do get them, Armada has problems with their top sheet. If your skis even touch a little bit, big chunks of top sheet will go flying. SO i would say throw down a thin clear coat on top to prevent any major chipping. OHH and don't centre mount these skis, they aren't made for it. You will get best results at recomented, or +1.

After I took my bindings off my T-halls, I realized they were actually mounted 1.5cm forward of true centre. My Ar6's are going 3 cm forward. It should be fun!

i love my 05/06 t-halls (white ones) i would definetly reccomend thme for park. I was actually looking at my edges today, and i noticed 4 edge cracks, which really got me pissed, and i only used them for 1 season

But, at 181 the T-Hall is 86 underfoot.
The AR6 is also 86 at 181.
And the El-Ray at 185 is 89.
So surely your replay is nonsense?

waist isnt the only measurement that's important.
Look at the sidecut. The El Ray's sidecut isnt exactly park friendly. Its useable, but not nearly as much as the T-hall/Ar6
