Here's my explanation.

Aug 17 2003, the earth and mars will come closer than they have been for the last 6,000 years and will not be this close again for many more years to come. It will be the first time recorded that anyone will be able to see Mars with the naked eye, this may come as something good, but can cause tragedy.

Due to the fact that Mars is so close to Earth, and even closer to the moon, the tides and weather will be changed and winter will come much earlier. It is estimated that on August 29th, snow will start to fall in the colder regions of the world. By December, there will be record breaking amounts of snow. When the Earth and Mars are at a normal distance again, temperatures and weather activity will return to normal and winter will end around May 2004, thus being almost like another Ice Age.

dude your full of bs, u can see mars with the naked eye all the time, its not actually comming so close to change its pull on us dramaticly, even if it was 2 million miles away it would just have the gravitational effect of the moon.

Yea its true you can see mars almost all the time unless its cloudy. And I dont think it should be called an iceage when winter is just like 2 or 3 months longer than normal
