Canon Digital SLR cameras

Is it worth spending the extra to get a canon 30D digital SLR camera, or go for the 10D which would save me a few hundred pounds?
I know its the lenses that make a real difference, but would the fewer megapixels and less developped technology make much of a difference.
I figured you might be the people to ask since I intend to use it for skiing action shots.

Canon SLR's are amazing.
trust me.. a Rebel or a 20D will give you such amazing pictures that you might just orgasm.

depends what your shooting, the 30d has less mega pixels, but is a waaay better camera, the image censor on it is much higher quality and will give more vibrant photos. It also has some more adjustable features and shotos at 5fps, instead of the 2.5 or 3 fps that the rebel shoots at. I have a 20d, and seeing as it is 95% the same as the 30d i would get a 30d. Or you could still maybe pick up a new 20d and save a bunch of money too.....the only reall differnce is the screen size and something to do with the shutter mechanism. I have used 30d and its the same as my 20 though. I'd pay the extra bucks.

My dad has a 20D. I used to have a rebel.
The 20D is so amazing. I wouldnt even bother with the 30D unless you're going to be thrashing it around (the 30D is a lot more durable from what I understand)

the 10D has less....
I'd def buy a 30D over a 20D since there isn't such a great price
difference (on ebay) but since I've not ahd one before i figured maybe
spend less and get the 10D.
Though fps is a kinda big factor in my choosing. People have told me that 3 is more than enough, but is it for ski shots?

My rebel had 2.5 fps speed. It was plenty for the shots I was taking.
I wasnt taking any shots of racers or anything going over about 60mph, so it worked fine.

Hmm I can get a brand new rebel for under £400 - but there seem to be 3 different types.
300D, 350D or 400D

I had a 400D.
I'f I'm correct 400 quid is like 600 or 700 american.
Which is about how much I paid. Which was a pretty good deal at the time (they retail for like 900 wholesale)

I have a Canon Powershot S2-IS digital camera, and I really like it. It has all the features of a regular 35mm SLR (adjustable shutter-speed, etc.) and more.
It is way easier and cheaper to be able to download your pictures right to the computer instead of having to get film developed.

I think you shoulda spent the extra for a 20 or 30. But i really hope you enjoy your rebel! Did you get it in a package deal with some other lenes?? That makes it super sick.
