Epic Newschoolers Gathering

I think we should try to plan some long range newschoolers gatherings. I think the best way would be to have a tour of them. And if we could plan them a long way in advance it would be easy to plan on being there, none of the I have to work, or I can't get a ride Bull shit. I'm talking about huge epic gatherings with hundreds of newschoolers all converging on a mountain for complete domination. There would be no trains, because there would be one massive train all day long. Skiers that can throw down, skiers that can't throw down so much all coming together to have fun in the name of newschoolers and skiing. It would also be dope to some how link them up with some ski tour stops to raise the hype at the comps and have some wicked evening parties. I know its all up the guys incharge to really get the ball rolling if this has any chance, but whos down?

i'm liking the idea, especially going along with some of the ski comp dates and locations, that would be a good idea indeed.

I think it would be best to plan such event around a major competition (USFO VTO etc).

There is unlimited Free lift tickets at Crested Butte until december 15, a gathering should happen here cuz who does'nt like free skiing?

Well, if you read the post it talks about a series of them planed a long time in advance so travel plans can be made and also some at the same time as comps. I don't know if the opens is the best time for the take overs because they kinda already are. It would be nice to have these on weekends that there is not something organized on or comps like the ski tour that only have the pros throwin down. I think the World Superpipe championships would be a good place to have a huge one to show support for the pipe scene from the newschoolers communtiy.

I think itd be way sicker to do the event more like the D-jam og previous years where there isn't a real comp thats happening cause then everyones too caught up in that shit-- I liked the layed back style of the D-jam and How people made thier own competitions which were way more creative

I think the fact that the majority of NS'ers I know of are under 16 would discourage me going... And most young'ns dont have the ill cash to go hop a plane on a whim. Gatherings at mountains are gay, just rent a hall and throw a bash of sorts.

So a lot of the younger riders could not come, that kind of solves your problem of there being to many riders. I dont see how this would be gay in any way, just renting a hall is not the scale were talking about, were talking epic. Think about this, your skiing and when you look around the slopes and the lift lines and everywhere is nothing but newschoolers on twins.

personally, i think the regional forums are best. go in there and get maybe 20 people who live around you to go the a mountain that is close.

i think theyre should be some more newschoolers gatherings on the west coast, there was only 1 this year and i was in the hospital while it was happening!
