NS should have a point system, like Skateperception. And when you click on your point #(either positive or negative) under your icon, a little window appears with a little message from the mod explaining their reasoning for adding or subtracting a point!
right! Because people just see new members with low posts and disregard their opinion, but there are a lot of new guys that have helpful input, that way not everybody is on the "post count system".
People seem to base other member's legitimacy on their post count. But with points, given for helpful input, people can base other people's legitimacy on the helpfulness of their presence.
Say someone wants to know how to legally domesticate a sloth, and theres 50 replies all saying different things. The thread starter could find the people with the most positive points and try their methods first, then work their way down the list based on points.
Negative points will be awarded for spamming or unjustified shittalking and things of that nature.
