Motorola Q ???

fuck no i got mine for only $99 and then it cost me 80 bucks a month for the plan and to answer your other question the Q sucks without internet you cant buy ringtones with those you have to download them from your computer and other than the camera they have nothing else goin on with them!I switched to the Cherry Chocolate...its dope shit!

umm, you can hook it up to your computer and install pretty much any program that runs on windows mobil. Why would I want to buy ringtones on my Q when I could transfer them from my computer for free from MP3 files????

And, the reason you have to pay $80/mo (which includes the data email and web service ALONG with like 500 minuts cell phone service) is because thats what it said on your contract that you signed in order to get it for $99. I just talked to a verizon guy and he said that you dont need the data service to use your Q as a regular phone.

And withought a contract, I beleve they are $500 new. So, if I was to sell it (which I won't now that I know you dont NEED the data monthly service) $190 would be a steal.

I got it so I could use it as a planner/note keeper and use it also as a phone. You can get programs where you rip a DVD to your computer and then you can put it on your Q if you have enough memory and watch that shit. Its also an Mp3 player. Not to mention all the programs on windows mobil. Yea, palm OS is better, but the Q is superior hardware and there isnt a huge difference between palm os and windows mobil.

When I move into a house next semester, it will probably be worth it for me to pay for data service and just not have a phone line/house internet connection. Although it doesnt come this way, there is a program you can get which will allow you to run the data service you get on your Q to a PC with bluetooth. That means you get high speed internet on a laptop WHEREVER you are if you want...

on top of that it is my understandind that you can transfer images over bluetooth on the Q to a computer. Other verizon phones with bluetooth have that feture locked because verizon wants you to pay to send your images but since the Q has an external memory slot, there is no way they can make you do that with the Q.

ive had 3 blackberrier w/o the internet. i love it. i have a comp for a reason. i got pic and movies and ringtones adn games and apps by transfering them from comp t phone.

my dad got a Q just cuz he needs it for biz. so he got the business plan which is like 150 a month and it has internet and microsoft word and all that shit
