i got two of my real close friends i graduated with that go to Va Tech. the one called me at 1030 that morning and told me what was goin on, and i asked about the other kid(bc they room together) he was in the building the shooter was in, cop came in the room with a shotgun and told them all to into the back corner of the room away from the door. he said he could hear gun shots and shit. scary stuff
watsup w/ all these shootings? i was already scared when i heard about virginia tech, since i live close to there, and now i'm gettin even MORE scared, its like..shootings every couple dayz..
I wont lie... I think the mass amount of coverage things like these get is almost challenging more kids to do the same... its as if theyre asking if these fucked up kids are "up to the task" or if they can "beat the record"
Yes obviously the news should cover it... but not 24 hours a day and use theme music... I dont know I just think its giving other sick minded kids out there the courage and justification to keep doing stuff like this.
and using terms like the worst killing and bigger than columbine n all the rest of that stuff... its like this one is the highest on record and the next messed up kid is gonna try n outdo it and kill more people
I think the media should be more responsible with coverage of events like this. especially with profiles of typical killers. if a disturbed kid listens to the news and finds that he/she fits the profile of a school shooter then that might be enough infulence to make s/he think that they should go shoot up a school
