I always ask myself why those who barely know anything of the skateboard industry so interested in stuff like this?
rather than the real impressive stuff.
in MY perspective this is basically a skier screwing around doin some intense butter combinations on flat compared to like doing like an 85 stair 4 kink elbow rail!
what takes balls?
what impresses me more?

Ya... I would say the stuff Rodney Mullen does is just a little harder and more impressive than intense butter combinations. Sure, it takes more balls to do a huge kinked rail, but it takes much more skill and technique to do this stuff. You never see any new skaters do some of the stuff he does.

sure they do, you just don't know enough about skateboarding to go about to find videos where they goof off and do shit like that.

To each his own. Rodney is definitely the shit though. Some straight up tony hawk shit there.
Its just like skiing. Some people like the big switch 1260s while other are perfectly happy with slow 7's. Take what you want out of it. Rodney spends a lot of time learning that stuff with his feet. Other guys spend a lot of time cracking their wrists off pavement going for the big stuff. In the end they both deserve the same respect. They both put in the time and the effort... although rodney's hospital co-pay is probably much less...
