Lifters on bindings?

i cant imagine they make that much difference for park riding but help for actual all mtn skiing

i was thinking that maybe a lower center of gravity would help with balance on rails and such

i was thinking of getting the look px 12 ti with lifter

easier on rails
harder to land switch
harder to get a good pop
easier to buttard.
easier to turn switch and reg.

well i plan to do the following:
all mountain
some powder when available
jumps
landing and jumping switch
boxes
skiing switch
limited rails, i dont wanna totally screw my skis for a while

Seriously though,mostly what rocktheEPs said...but it also depends on the ski, a fatter ski that you might need more leverage to lay on edge, you might want them. Honestly though, with most people, the difference is so marginal that you won't notice it, unless your gear is 100% dialed, it won't make that much of a difference.

Is this with lifters or w/o. I know it's supposed to be easier to turn /w lifters, but rails easier with lifters? I thought it was supposed to be easier w/o lifters.

I generally mount flat on skis under 90mm and lifted over 90mm, but that's just a super general guideline I use.  If you're going to use them in the park more than on the mountain and they're under 95mm you'd probably be better off without lifters.

dont do it!
i took the lifters off of my skis (86 waist) and my skis were instantly a lot more fun to ski on without them.

it did take a tiny bit more effort to turn, but i got used to it in one run.
but it was a lot more stable and way more fun in every kind of condition

well if i get risers, and i dont like them, i can just take them off and remount the bindings with shorter screws

i really dont think it makes that much of a difference....i mean i have lifters on my park skis and it really isnt noticeable....however i really didnt have a choice b/c my shop didnt have shorter screws or else i woulda gone no lifter

Dont get lifters... I have those skis... you dont need them. They are damp as fuck (no chatter AT ALL) and yet they are responsive nevertheless... They were made so you really wouldnt need lifters... hence why The only ones I've ever seen lifters on were the demo skis...

if you mount new bindings without the lifters, the warranty is no longer in effect...and with shorter screws, they are more likely to rip out

I dunno about the warranty issue, I would think you could just put the lifters back on before you sent them out if that were a problem.
But I know that the ripping out thing is bogus, because the sink depth of the screw won't change with or without the lifter, you still only have so much ski that you can drill into before you dimple the bases.

my TMs are mounted with lifters. i don't really see a big deal with it, if i took the lifters off is my skiing going to suddenly improve
