i thought it was a real deep plot, with a lot of foreshadowing, and symbology. my only complaint was too much clothing, and when they had shields you could hardly make out their chiseled bodies. (E-Sarcasm)

As tough as they might be, and epic as the CGI fights were, a little too homoerotic for my taste. I know it wasn't meant to be a thinking movie, but it couldn't of hurt. But his wife was pretty hot. Not gonna lie.

you guys are all expecting 300 to be real or historically accurate, which is wasnt intended to be at all. Thats like watching Sin City and going "THATS SO UNREAL, THIS MOVIE SUCKS"

no shit its unreal. Sometimes you have to use CGI effects to make a movie good. As Robert Rodreguiz said "if digital helps tell a better story, why not use it?"

300 is one of those movies where you just have to turn your brain off and enjoy the mindless entertainment. Of course its no Fight Club or Requiem for a Dream, which were deeply artistic. 300 was a slasher movie and no more.

I don't think anyone is arguing that the fight scenes weren't awesome, but that's all the movie has going for it.

there was not as much CGI in it as people think, the movie was shot amazingly, the coulours and all, it is a great movie, very well done and thought through. in my opion i think it was great, thats my opion, other people have theres

I just saw it, and i found it to be one of the sickest movies i've seen for awhile. I'm not saying it was good writing, or good plot or whatever, it was just a straight action movie. Thats how action films should be, no stupid messages, no complex plot that strays away from action, just action. Sure, movies like Italian job, oceans 11 and 12 (and soon 13 to come), and other complex movies are sweet, but 300 was just amazing fight scenes and epic battles. Not to mention the cinemtograph is a new step in film making, it was fucking awesome to watch. If you want a movie with a good plot/complex story, watch something else.

whole movie was fucking gnarly but the ending kinda sucked. and i saw it with a girl i just met so the whole sex scene thing was a little awkward. did anyone else find the slow motion boob jiggle in that as hilarious as i did

300 was a great movie. The plot sucked donkey cock and half the dialouge was pathetically corny but the fight scenes were epic. Dont go expecting a good story.

Why the hell not? Look what happened to the world when the Greeks were able to resist Persian consolidation. The world was different, and not just militarily... Why not have a good plot? It would have made the movie much better.

Just because the battle scenes were good doesn't mean that it is a reasonable excuse for the rest of the movie to be neglected seriously at times.

Anyways, I'm trying to understand how people dislike the usage of CGI? Do you realize how boring the movie could have been? It would be like fucking lord of the rings all over again. People seem to enjoy one movie, and hate the next because it isnt the same as the last.
