both are really cool in thier own way, but also have their down sides. example... in canada i get to drink but they have those stupid quarters with the goose on them instead of dollar bills, and i likes to rain all the time. here in san diego we have sun shine and dollar bills, but i have to break some laws to get fucked up.
why do you gotta make the states feel bad? there is no way they could win - unless of course they get their guns involved... that's all they are good at, is being bullies.
my statement had nothing to do with the american people themselves, but the country as a whole. me saying i like canada more doesn't mean I like canadians more, we just happen to be the ones that make up canada.
I mean - you as an american arn't over in the middle east fucking shit up, but you americans as a whole make up the collective that make it possible and acceptable for the american govt' to do what they are doing over there.
the people still have the potential to control their govt, don't lose that.
i dunno, i like the u.s better. im from canada, and i live in a city where 45 % of the population is minorities (im not joking). now im not being racist or anything, it is just that when you are in an environment where everybody can relate to eachother, it feels much better that way. PLUS a lot of people i know here are asswipes, ive been elsewhere in canada and its not the same, but thats how it is where i live.
The only semi decent thing to come out of Canada is Tim Hortons. Even then, every Tim Hortons I've ever been to in the US and Canada has had AWFUL service.
It also sucks when you sit on a couch and your change falls out of your pocket. In the US you lose like 70 cents. In Canada you lose 15 dollars.
i'm from the bronx, then moved to upstate ny and theres alot of minorites, you have to approach everything with a positive attitude. It seems as we get older, being a senior, that everybody came together and we're all the same, regardless of race
^ hahaha, that be true the bills are so much nicer. in canada you have to be 20 times richer to make a rap vid (less you wanna use the blue 5's to throw into vaginas and stuff)
You're an idiot if you think people favor the U.S more on this site.
I like America more, wayy more. I've been to Canada about 3 times now and I think Canadians have the wrong impressions of Americans because everytime I went there was always a 'Oh, you must be American' joke. America is like the Angelina Jolie of the world, everything good we do we get a pat on the back and anything 1 extreme american does it's like we're the worst country in the world, and it's like headline news. Yeah, american soldiers took pictures with a bunch of naked arab people which is bad, dont get me wrong, but not nearly as bad as countrys that sell their own children to kiddie porn weirdos just to make a quick buck, for example. Also, that 'U.S. is just a bunch of bullies' is the most bullshit I've ever heard in my life, if you think that then you're too ignorant to do some research and get some facts and just want to stick with a quick, effective (in the making people pissed off sense) statement like 'Oh yeah, well I fucked your mom last night". I'm sure we've bullied people, or have some corrupt things going on in our government, but no country anywhere on Earth doesn't have some form of that. Sorry for the run-on sentences.
Canada = Peace Keepers, Tim Hortons, "free" health care, Hockey, Whistler, not a melting pot society, accepted by other countires (take a trip to Europe, retarded Prime Minister
USA = War Makers, overpriced starbucks, "pay" health care, wanabe hockey players, Mammoth, melting pot, ignorant (watch talking to americans by rick murser), Retarded President
I guess the only thing we have in common are fucked up leaders lol
notice the word "joke". what about the canadian jokes where we all live in igloos? goes back n forth dude.
i love canada waaay better. free health care. ive taken advantage of that quite a bit. got $300 worth of accutane and it was entirely covered. broke my hand it was all covered. any prescription whatsoever is covered by OHIP pretty much here in the glorious land of Ontario.
Some advocating against socialized health care have asserted that the difference in health care costs between the two nations is partially explained by the differences in their demographics.[13] Police-reported Drug abuse and violence are all more common in the United States than in Canada[citation needed], and all place a burden on the health care system. Most illegal immigrants (more prevalent in the United States than in Canada) do not carry health insurance and rely on emergency rooms (which are legally required to treat them) as a principal source of health care.[14] (In Colorado, for example, 80% of illegal immigrants do not have health insurance.) Illegal immigrants' relative lack of preventative care incurs higher overall costs. Recent history has meant that the United States has far more veterans and war wounded, also somewhat increasing cost. Accounting practices also differ and in Canada fewer capital investments are included in health care costs[citation needed]. Another important caveat is that research and development spending in Canada is lower, but Canada still benefits from the research done in the United States[citation needed]. This leads some scholars, such as David Gratzer, to argue the actual cost difference, while still real, is much smaller than the straight GDP numbers would indicate.
U.S. are war-makers on terrorism, doing Canada another favor by ridding the world of terrorists every day.
'Talking to Americans' is biased.
George Bush isn't 'Retarded', and it's too early to tell how good or bad the effects of his presidency will be.
I was totally ready to post a fruitcake recipe when I saw the thread title... this is actually legitimate though. Can't really say, though, both have advantages and disadvantages.
I'll stick with the U.S. thank you. Governments, people, healthcare, and all else aside we have a way more varied climate and that's enough for me. Canada is cool from what i've seen and the people were very nice and friendly, but c'mon you have an abundance of cold weather. I'll keep coming to Canada to ski and you guys keep buying our oranges cause you know you'll never be able to grow your own.
How's the surfing up there by the way??
u think people dont sell their children to kiddie porn weirdos in the usa? shit like that happens everywhere do u have any idea how fucked up, twisted, perverted and dimented that this world is? its just not talked about... there are people being sold as sexual slaves that are tied to a bedpost naked for days in the good ol U.S. of A.
u are a sheltered nieve individual....
Yes but some countrys are known specifically for that kind of shit, and tons more of it goes 'behind the scenes' whereas something the U.S. does makes headline news, that or the death of Anna Nicole Smith.
The mercinary position...? Must not have heard of that one. If you mean missionary, I kind of doubt that, seeing as that's probably how the first people to ever have sex did it.
i live in the US and all i wanna do is leave. CANADA.
and i know this isnt the first american to say canada, so obviously im not alone and canada is probably superior
SAME SHIT DIFFERANT SHINGEL!!!! but yeah we still got better weed down here DEAL! i have been all over the world.. and the thing with canunkasti people is that the whole cananda attitude is .. HEY WERE CANADA WE ARE NOT AS BAD AS THE USA... austraila is better then both for sure
