It was my best friend's dad. We were out three days earlier and set off two slides and then add 40 inches of snow since then... Please keep my best friend and his family in your paryers.

Wow, I just found out that I talked to him on the phone on Saturday. We were talking about the K2 Outlaws and he wanted to buy them over the phone. But we decided that he would come in on Monday and buy them. So I put 2 pairs on hold for him...they were sitting in our hold closet with his name on them..we just took them off hold.
This could happen to any one of us...so definitely be careful and know what you're doing!
I know its cliche, but RIP.

Is this actually a true statement? Because I really wasn't aware of that. I assumed all parts of the BC is off limits unless trained and have the equipment which is why I stay in the park.

yes it is a true statement. obviously the key to not getting fucked is knowing what you are doing, and having all your avy shit. BC just means there is not avalanch control, no marked cliffs or rocks, you are on your own. schmitz is saying there is plenty of terrain with low avy danger that is really fun to ski.

hahaha do you know who this is? Kempers definitely drops into Little Richards. Anytime you end up at 410 you've skied Little Richards. And where'd you get an overview map with Little Richards on it?
