Microsoft Zune VS Creative Zen Vision: M

well i dropped my ipod from about 8 feet the other day, since then nothing has been working on it. I have done some research and here is what i have come up with.
The creative has a better screen, better sound quality, and can play many more formats than the Zune. Although the creative doesnt have the widescreen, the screen is brighter and crisper (hence, better IMO). The creatives navigation system is on par with the Zune's once you get to use both of them. The zune is selective with its formats.
Which one would you reccomend for skiing and every day use? Am i missing any major info (aside from the WIFI, because i wont use that at all)? What would you choose and why?

I have a zen vision m and I really like it. Takes a while to get used to but now it works pretty nicely. But don't think about skiing with it, not a good idea...

I find ipods to be more reliable, like skiing, my zune runs out of battery fast, only if its really cold though, shuts down randomly, and freeze for seconds. but i still love how easy it is to get movie on there

The main thing holding me back fromt he creative is that it seems thick. I have played around with a friends and it didnt seem too bad, but i only used it for about 2 minutes, and wasnt paying attention to details because i hadnt broken my ipod yet and wasnt thinking about buying a new mp3 player. So, how thick does it actually feel when you use it?
