Replying to 05-06 4frnt stls?

Well its christmas and i finaly get to pick out some new skis to replace my fucking 04-05 PE's FINALY after they broke my ankle (well more of my bindings fault). Now im about 5,9.5 and weigh 145ish and i was wondering if the 05-06 stls would be good for me. I keep hearing about them being to flexy and peices of the core coming out. My friend was riding the 04-05 stls and a chunck from his base fell out and the hole was all the way to the core. I dont really want to get the this years stls cus my other friend just got them and i thik that would be kinda weird and i dont really like the graphics as much as last years. i searched this but i coulndnt find a real solid answer. If you guys think these things are wack what should i get and also im planning to get the SALOMON Z10 bindings with it so yea... feed back?
