Can someone define is there a best binding? Or is it just another thing of different opinions? I don't want no fucking specs, but truly,is there a binding that could improve your skills by being the best possible jib ski. Not that I want it to improve myself.

there is no differance between the look pivot jib and any other binding in the pivot series, just colors.

the rossignol freeride 180, youll have better luck finding sasquatch than this binding ( this is the binding that tanner and boyd use.
the look p12 trans black and the rossignol scratch,,,, definetely not the salomon bindings, too much lift

i'd say any of the Look Pivot series. I have P12s, and they rock.

So this is going towards 'don't do Salomon, anything else goes' and i'm cool with that, but you who wanted to hook me up with bindings,im not too keen on paying a shipping fee 'cos that's two thirds of the actual bindings. So look pivot eh? I'll check into that. Though i'm guessing they're boner bindings.

Nothing wrong with Salomon Mike - I've only ever pre-released maybe three times, and no knee injuries - can't be a bad thing. Pretty much any binding is good as long as you have them set up right. Just go with any Look/Rossi/Salomon that has an appropraite DIN and preferably a low stand-height and you can't go wrong.

i liked my look p12s, but a friend of mine at cannon ripped out one of his tryin to switch 270 onto a bench, and then mine got a busted break while doin a 720 just from impact, and i wasnt landing on the flats, but besides that i liked em, i probably just had a shity pair cause my other friend abused his and they held up fine

My salomons are really light. The rossi's are pretty good too. But they have that end thing on it.

last pair or look bindings i had i ended up fishing my skis out of a 50 foot ravine 2 miles down the hill. theyre the fuckin shitiest pieces of crap ever made. i probably broke them 5 times in half a season and thanks to them my skis have big holes in them

Old Look turntables (TT series). Simply the best. even after 3 seaons out of production you still see many of the top pros using them and Look still makes small quantities for their pros. If I have anything to say about it I will never use another binding. Its all about having a truely elastic range of motion, save my ass countless times. Plus they are light and have amoung the least effect on ski flex. But since these are nearly imposible to find, the new pivot series would be my second choice.

well, if anyone has ever looked twice, they will see that look pivot bindings are identical to rossignol axial bindings... owned by the same company (i think). also, the only difference between most of these bindings is the din setting and maybe a plate... anyway, I have rossi axial bindings and they are awesome. the only bindings i would now consider are the ones i mentioned above - they just release better.
I wish I could ski ALL the time in winter - instead of just most of the time...

The reason some people have problems with salomons is that the toe piece (the adjustable wings) are never set right for a person boot. I had that problem for the whole year. I could feel my boot wiggle in the binding. I pre-released once in the pipe, but now they work perfectly.

When you have your bindings mounted, the tech will adjust the wings and toe-height. They do come loose though, especially if you ski a lot of big kickers - I have to re-adjust about every 5 times skiing - no big deal.

ye well those 912tis were the first salomon bindings I'd ever had and they weren't set right from the start.

The Look Pivot Jibs are heavy aren't they? I had a pair of Rossignol Axials and they were real heavy becasue of that backpiece thing that sticks up.

on most swivel bindings its the plate that allows the binding to swivel that weights the most. the locking mechanism that sticks up ir usually plastic and not as heavy as the metal bottom.
