For those of you who care, it's true. Not the fact that they're on MTV has made me think this but instead the fact they made a video for a song that is so unlike their 'good' stuff...no horn section at all in 'She's gonna break soon'
at least 'Hello Rockview' and 'Losing Streak' will never change

If you're gonna get worked up each time a band sells out I hope you can handle that alot. Whenever a band has the potential to 'make it big' its not much of a surprise when they 'sell out'. If they can make the money, its kinda hard for them to just say no to it. And who exactly are you to say that they sold out? Maybe their attitudes changed or styles changed, change is natural progression buddy.

dude, ltj didn't sell out. they fuckin' posted their new album online as in THEY did it as an advance copy. the only dif between their advance copy album and the real one coming out tomorrow is that the advance has them every minute or so going 'buy our album, we kicke ass, it'll be out may 20th' and 'hey if you d/led this album off the itnernet, that's cool, just send us some change'. ltj has been touring forever. it's not them ya douche...they just put out their first cd on warner bros

Less than jake is alright saw them on the warped tour a couple summers ago. They've been around for ever you can't really blame them for wanting to make some money. after all these years it's good to eat.

like what a guy above said, it's progression. Everyone's got to make a living somehow, musicians make music. So what if they get on mtv and sell a lot of records, more power to them for working for it.

That's not what i'm complaining about...i love the fact they're succeeding but i don't like the fact they're playing different songs just for the radio and MTV...i'm willing to bet that's the only song that sounds like that on Anthem

yah i guess everyone wants to make money but think about this: they all at one point claim to be 'all about the music' and at the point that they go onto mtv, do mastercard commercials (j5) and shit like that, they're not all about the music, and so they've completely sold out to no one but themselves, it doesn't make their music any different, it just makes people respect them less...i mean honestly, GREEN DAY people

bigskia i was pissed off when i didnt here the trumpets, in a way they did sell out but there old shit was crazy like hello rockveiw and looseing streak, by far less than jake is my favourite band and the fact that the music dosent sound like ska pissed me off

Well, I've just found out that I can get tickets to their sold out show here next week (Teen Idols, Pietasters and Allister supportsing - should be good) - hopefully they won't play too much new stuff if Anthm is as bad as people here have been saying.

bigskia, i have anthem...it sounds like a normal progression/change from album to album of ltj. borders and boundaries didn't sound a lot like hello rockview and hello rockview didn't sound like losing streak or losers, kings, and things we don't understand. listen to it a few times before you complain...esp since ltj is still one of the bands that gives out more free shit than any band i've ever seen and i use to go to shows every other night.
