Replying to Printer Question

My printer stopped connecting to my laptop this past week sometime and i need help fixing it. here is the computer/router set up (basic because i dont know much about this)



The internet connection goes to a modem, then to a router, then to the main desktop (a PC, and my laptop is also a PC). the main desktop is connected to the printer, and i print from my laptop on that same printer.

now when i try to print it says that it failed when starting the document or w/e, so i went into the controll pannel, and it says that the access is denied, and it is unable to connect to the printer. What should i do?
