Spicolli Sr. or the 4Front Crossfades? anyone know how the two compare? Give me your input on each pole.

i would just get the cheaper one...this year i got good poles and when i brake em i am going to just go back to my microscopic mis-matched poles i got from rentals...
i find unless you are skiing big lines and skiing super agressivley, then just get cheap poles.

Scott S4 shaft with the straight handle. Eg Nightstick or Slalom. Best poles around.

just get some good cheap (or free) poles, and cut them down to like 40"
buying expensive poles is beyond me (and a lot of others it seems)

Go to the DI in SLC and pick up a mismatched pair. Mismatching poles kill it. Just make sure they have big basket for all the powder.

armada has some sweet pole systems, they come with 2 sets of baskets and they are very flexible so you wont break them if you land on them, which is always a plus.

ya they're sick. if you do break a shaft everything is interchangable so you only gotta pay like 25$ for a new shaft.

i get free ones from my local hill. then spray paint with custom designs so they look cool. maybe swap out the baskest tho. i hate super huge baskets.

ok, now i know i'm not the only person who doenst care what poles he has, in my mind they dont make that much of a difference in your performance...you could probably use those long wooden rulers (i forget the real name) and do the same stuff.

i went to tuckermans last year and forgot my poles, so we went to cranmore, stole some bamboo sticks and grips off the things they use to put up fences and made a mean pair to use. they were killer, although a bit heavy.
get swix poles...its not worth spending a lot of money on poles unless theyre gonna last a while, obviously, so get those and rip it up wicked neat.

Spicollis are $40 and 4frnt Crossfades are $49.99 before any tax... both are sick poles, as are the Armada Instruments which are $74.99
All times are Eastern (-5)
