I carry mine in my chest pocket... the "Secret Pocket" in most jackets.


Since your body's natural reaction is to protect that area in a fall... your Ipod should never break.

i watched my friend drop his out of his pocket while he was sliding a rail... it was dangling out of his jacket and he landed on it. shit blew up everywhere. bad deal.

my old one froze up while skiing a bunch... like as soon as i walk outside it would say "no Battery".... when iw as in vermont i was using those little hand warmer things to keep it alive.

i would always cary it in my chest pocket and since it was really warm one day i didn't ware that jaacket and put it in my pants pocket..landed right on it and now the screen is all fucked up

i think refurbished shuffles are the way to go.

you can get them cheap (relatively) and mine hasnt frozen or have the battery died. Plus they are hard to break.

my buddy has this case for his its like plexiglass or something super strong. we dropped it out of his second window and it didint do shit to the ipod.

nope, chest pocket, put in a baggie to make sure it doesn't get wet or anytihing, its the first thing i secure before i start putting my shit on, followed by trees. never had problem, gotta be carefuk though

i tried to spin onto a down c rail at vail, and it was sticky and i caught and flew onto my chest and best my nano that was in my chest pocket around the rail (the metal back curved... screen shattered) plus i had only had it for like 2 weeks.

i was listening to my iPod and fell on a rail. i crcked the LCD screen so there was a block like mass on my screen and i couldnt see anyhting, but i sent it back to apple and they fixed it

haha ya i had a shuffle when they came out to ski with and kept it in my chest pocket, but one time when i fell it fell out and got all wet and stuff then froze, and woouldnt work anymore. now i ski with my nano, but keept it a plastic bag, safe from snow.

thats not a bad idea. getting a lanyard and keeping a refurbished shuffle around you neck....i dont need to keep my ipod in a sock and hassle everytime i need to change and risk breaking a 300 dollar thing. fuck im going to do that

I might get an old Shuffle, that's a damn good idea. I have a 20 gig U2 iPod, but I've never ridden with it. Fuckkkk that. I know two people who've found iPods on the hill, though. A 20 gig Photo and a 6gig Mini.
