Loveland or Winterpark

I will be in Denver next weekend and can only ski on Sunday. I know these are probally the closest open resorts, but what do you think is easier to get to, a better value and has better skiing this time off year? I have been to Winter Park (it was ok) but never been to Loveland. Can anyone offer me some insight?

Loveland, cause they'll have way more snow than the WP. But, Mary Jane will probably have a better 4/20 scene.

I was leaning to Loveland because it right off I-70 and I never been there. Anyway, I am going next weekend and 4/20 is this weekend.

go to abasin.. it's by far the best and only seven miles past loveland. and of course, it's always a good time so 4/20 will be even better. i'd be there if i wasn't stuck working.

So you're going the weekend of the 26-27? Loveland and A-Basin are pretty much the only places that will still be open then. I'm pretty sure WP's last day is the 20th. Of those, go to A-basin, the terrain is a lot cooler, and the whole atmosphere of the mountain is better.

Is Breck or Abasin a better place for 4/20? I can't make up my mind.

How much further is A-Basin pass Loveland? Time on the slope is the most important factor for me.

Ok, thanks a lot for the help. One last question, aprox. how long will it take to get to Loveland or A-Basin on a Sunday from downtown Denver? Is the traffic a problem going or coming home.

gdawg3: go to breck. the hits are huge and it's supposed to be sunny sunday. prime jumping conditions, and it's the last day so everyone will be going off.

_ski_bum_: a-basin is about an hour and fifteen from downtown denver (if you drive the speed limit). getting home should be no problem. most people are done skiing and ready for summer.

anyone hitting copper this sunday (4/20), shoot me a message.
