^the weight bench thing is good. anything with plyometrics (jumping up on stuff), yoga (especially ashtanga or power yoga), trampolines, lot's of core stuff (like pilates excercizes with a ball), lunges, squats, etc. no need to pick up any weights, if you do, use light weight and lots of reps. PM me if anyone else needs some good tips on training, I'm working on compiling a small book of ski-specific workouts/stretching.

it can interupt your growth patterns, and new tissue that is forming. because when you lift weights it tears tiny cells in the muscles and they are repaired with lactic acid (thats what is happening when you feel stiff after exersize). so until your done growing you can do things bodyweight drills, like push-ups, weightless squats, pull ups etc. if anyone has anything to add or correct do so.

yeah any body weight exercises are fine, as are weights if you do lots of reps. like 3-5 sets of 12-15 reps. studies have shown that this is completely safe. higher weights/ less reps could cause abnormal muscle growth which could cause issues later on.

read ski magazine. they Always have pre season/mid season/post season workouts. a lot of it it stability and balance stuff, but it helps a lot. i've done a lot of core training this summer for baseball and i really feel good.
