another question about your life

alright, you're all probably getting sick of hearing my questions and shit, but this is the last one i swear.

I was sitting here thinking to myself (I'm at my dad's for the month - noone to hang out with down here so I've been doing a lot of sitting around and thinking - which explains all the questions on here i guess eh?) and I realized that if I had the chance to change anything in my life (well, any one thing) I wouldn't change anything. I am perfectly content with the way my life is right now. Have no regrets in my recent history which has resulted in the circumstances I am in right now, nothing that's bothering me other than little nagging things that life is full of (my dad's being a real pain, but life ain't perfect).

so my question is this - if you could change any one thing in your life right now, what would it be? and if you are willing to get deeper on the internet ('cause this could be a very touchy subject for some - hell, a lot of you might not even be able to answer it) why would you chose to change it?

I don't want stupid answers like 'i want to be richer' 'cause that's just not the way life works.

if i could change one thing...thats easy, id bring my dad back...he died 4 years ago when i was in 8th grade and my life would be so much less complicated if he were still around to help me live my life and turn it into what i want it to be

i wouldn't change anything, i'm not saying i'm perfect and everything is fine but i live by the saying no regrets. why regret things, then you just go day to day always worrying about the mistakes you've made and how everything could be better. I mean what doesn't kill you makes you stronger so just live it out and everything always seems to work out

a lot of you arn't really putting thought into the question - or you're just not getting it (especially the skiing comment).

when you wake up in the morning, what do you wish was different in your life at the time and place you are at right now - not what you should have done 4 or 5 years ago to make you a superstar today.

id change 2 things.. 1) my attitude towards school from the beginning.. if i had actusally tried during highschool. i wouldnt be in such a panic right now.

id prolly try to accomplish more, like lately ive been doin shit with tools and stuff in my garage non stop, but when i was younger i was a minimalist, and that made my approach to everything do the least possible, and i cowuld have worked more, and worried less about what i didnt have, but what i could give to others, other then that, im very happy with my life

I only have one regret. I drank / smoked myself silly around a girl I had big time hots for at a hotel party, even though she told me not to. I ended up green, passed out on the bed thinking I was going to die by like 10:30. The chick was stradelling me trying to get me up to go to the bar, but all I could do was grunt at her. When I hit on her a couple days later she told me 'you had your chance.' This is actually one of the big reasons I don't smoke much anymore. I realise that it's just a girl and that I probably wouldn't even be with her today, but I definately made a pretty stupid mistake that night.

Can't say anything. I love my life, and everyhing is going perfect for me. THe only thing that makes it difficult is my laziness in school, but everything is still working out perfectly though.

i wish i hadn't smoked weed when i did. I started when i was 13, and i think i was too young and stupid to know when the right time to get high was, and where the good spot to get high was. Last year i would smoke a lot. Not everyday, but to me a lot is like a few times a week. Me and my friends would sit in the cemetary and burn. It's a sketchy spot. Then on the last day of summer my actions bit me in the ass. I got arrested for possession. We were fucking morons, we were in the woods in a park when it was filled with little kids and soccer moms, and some one saw us and called the cops. I had to go to court and even though the charges got dropped i still regret it. i lost the trust of my parents. Now i maybe smoke once a week, only on the weekends, during the week is rare. I don't know, since i got busted i just became smarter about all that shit.

I would def. have to say I wish I was more driven to go to school and get good grades. In my family my brothers set such a low standard (basically flunking outta school) that as long as I get/got 60s my parents and stayed outta trouble were happy. I wish I was able to stand up for myself the way I can stand up for my friends, I cave when I should say no. But Im happy with my life and I really dont think I would change anythign.

Good idea for some thought darryl. If I could change one thing, or one decision it would be to have never came to carleton university. I met some cool people, but the bad outweighs the good by a longshot. I've been fucked around and am generally unhappy with things here. Maybe I could have gone to a different school or taken a year off experience everything I want to but don't have the time to right now.
