Don't know many people who have riden the STL's but I know that everyone who has skied on the 07 tm's loves them, and I like the tm graphics better so go with those.

STL= awesome riding, super light ski. def. one of the best riding skis ive ridden. that being said, the graphics are HORRIBLE, and they are not durrable at all (option snowboards makes them now).
TM= slightly heavier, great riding ski with the unique flex of an Hlam core. awesome graphics, and should hold up excelent on rails. beware, those cores loose pop fairly quick if your a bigger rider.
bottom line= 2 sick skis, neither particularly durable. kinda a toss up. they both kill everthing, but the stls fall apart and the TMs core dies quickly. if your a lighter guy, either will do. if your tough on your stuff, pick a diff ski.

stls are awsome, i had them this year and they held up perfectly, one of if not the best park skis ever, and the graphic is awsome. and i doubt the tm's will hold up well on rails, the edge thingy they put on it is like 10 inches long and its far back on the ski, so if you mount true center or close to it, its not gonna do much.

ya im kinda looking at 07 skis and im 90% that im buying the nothing but troubles by dyna because i rode the 05 trouble makers for 2 years and they were siiiiiiick they were sturdy and prefect for just skiing along with jumps and shit, my friend has the 06 STL's and he didnt like htem that much for all mountain skiing, personally im one of those guys that hits up the park then takes a run then hits the park, if ur doing that go with the nothing but troubles if your strictly park get the STL's

^some of last years STLS were manufactured at the old plant, 5 axis. those ones are sick sick skis. you can tell, cause the old ones have the bluish UHMW sidewall, while the Option ones use a cheaper white ABS. that being said, my Option produced stls were snapped in half, missing a ft of edge+SIDEWALL, delamed at both tails, and had various other small delams. all this in a 3-4 month midwest winter. totally destroyed.
however, i will say that while they were skiable, they were my favorite skis ive ever rode. handled everything beautifully. the Tms are not as wide, but are excellent carvers, amazing on jumps and in the pipe, and just a real fun ski.
honestly, id let the wasit width be the deciding factor. with the STL, your talkin a 85-87ish range depending on size (id recomend go longggg, light ski), and the TM is only 75. if you plan on skiing softer snow or lots of spring slush, go STL. if your an east coast rider, the TM will have much better edge hold.

i find it odd how everyone says the tm's cores die quickly, i've had 2 pairs both have kept an amazing amount of pop. infact its crazy how much pop these skis have especially carving off jumps.

Yeah, but do you know if they've switched back to UHMW sidewalls for the 07 STL?
