Yeah i know i've posted before..but anyways who else is into advertising stratgies. VW is good, but Saturn is taking the cake right now, the marriage commericial almost makes me cry for some reason. The college one has a Brenden Benson song in it. Good stuff.

Fuck yeah, but that's what makes the ad so good is that it can make you feel that way about a damn car. It's like, 'What the hell am I feeling so emotional for, it's a fucking Saturn' but then you remember that commercial for that reason, and that's what good advertising is all about.

i dont know who does that commercial where the people are on the streets like cars, and the cars are like people, and the car chooses the people, but that is a good commercial

That would be a Saturn commercial as well, so effective. You can't tone down the ad based on the product. What I'm talking about is advertising, not product design. Advertising for the normal person is an evil thing. Its a porthole for companies to get into your head. But its an art, and the saturn commercials play the game nicely.

I took a cool class about advertising where we watched about a 1000 commercials, it's really cool to see exactly how they get into your head, and make you subconsciously associate the products with something really great, like sex, or fun.
