Heatfit?

I was looking for a new pair of ski boots to get for next year and someone mentioned head's boot so i went and took a look at it i read some stuff on ns that says its really good and stuff but im just wondering what the heatfit is i guess you like warm it up and it molds to your foot? anyway i probably sound like i dont know anything because of this but anyway does anybody know?

my sister has them in a set of langes. Assuming theyre the same, they heat up your liner and then u put your feet in them for a couple minutes and it molds to your foot, so its like a custom fit liner kinda. supposedly makes them more comfortable, and she says it works so ya. and i think u can reheat them each season like if your foot grows

personally i think it's a scam so you think their boots are better then the other guys. but your feet do get really cozy when they are fitting them.

tecnica got the best system to mold the boots. The liner expand when they mold the boot. When you heatfit, the liner "shrink"...

i got that done on some salomons a few years ago, it works wonders. it kinda sucks though when you're molding them cause you have to walk around in burning hot boots for 10 min

Dont get me wrong. Im not retarded but, what if your feet get hot when your skiing?

Wont they remold or wait neermind it wouldnt matter.

k thats what i thought it was thanx but do they have like some machine that heats them up cause i will probably order them online so i cant get the shop to do that or do you just like...put them by a fire for a bit then wear them?

haha yeah i thought of that to but i guess you have to heat them up really hot so your foot cant get that hot on its own.

getting boots molded is completely pointless, unless you have the most fucked up foot. a boot will break in, eventually, and people get the false impression that it's all of a sudden going to fit like a slipper if you get it molded. especially when it comes to hockey skates. SKATES AREN'T MEANT TO BE COMFORTABLE!! they're meant for performance. and the tighter the fit, the more feel for the ice, and response you get out of it.

sorry, i work retail and customers piss me the fuck off. everybody thinks they have a wide foot, and usually go a couple sizes too big, to eliminate the break-in process. it's STUPID STUPID STUPIDDDDD!!!!!!!

Yeah, all liners can be "heat molded" - it just speeds up the break-in process, nothing more.

I'd say it's nice to do if you can cuz that way from day one your foot wont move around in the boot (although it wont fix buying a poor fitting boot, it'll just enhance a good fitting one) from day one. I would also DEFINATELY recommend superfeet insoles. Or the mad expensive ones if you have the dough and your feet are done growing. But yea heatlmoldable liners come in a fair amount of boots. It's nice to have, but dont make your decision on buying because of it. If a boot doesn't feel right when it's brand new the molding wont help.
