I used to race (until i realised i sucked at that) but i have nothing against racers. I know very good jibbers that still race. Most pros used to race... ( A racer cant go in the park with a skinsuit on, that is a disgrace to skiing )

Racers who turn freestyle are usually ace, takes em time to convert, but once they get there, they go far. In England, we have all these bladers getting on skis, pulling off some back flip on dry slope and thinkin they are better skiers than everyone else. However, most have not seen more than a couple of weeks on snow. They'd probly all die a painful death if they got caught in powder.

racing takes the point out of skiing. we ski on snow right?? they wipe the downhill and superG courses and spray them with water. then the slalom and gs courses are already iced from overuse. i raced 1 year and that was it. if u can do it and u like it, go ahead. too much skill involved 4 me.

just 'cause i never raced don't mean it's not retarded. i was on a race team for a week, but i quit that shit. and there are a hell of a lot of park skiers out there who used to race - and there's a reason why they stopped. just 'cause you like looking at other guys ass's in those grose downhill suits doesn't mean you're cool.

if you haven't felt it yet - a new revolution in skiing is about to come over us. in the young days of park skiing we felt the wrath of the snowboarders... well now that snowboarders and we are at the same level (and if there anyone - skier or boarder - still holds a grudge for the other sport than you are a stupid stupid man/woman and i pitty you) we need a new enemy - RACERS!

next time you see a racer in their tight spandex downhill suit make their lives a living hell! than when they try to attack you either fight em or ski into a mogul field... they'll fall, you'll laugh, than you'll (or at least i hope you will) throw snowballs at them.

than when it's all said and done with - go sleep with their girlfriends... or if they don't have girlfriends, their sisters and mothers will do.

I dont know about the racers at your mountain, but the ones at mine only where the speed suits (your fuckin ignorant pricks) during a race. If they where them all the time at your mountain you must have a special kind of queers.

haha, around here (wisconsin), when i ski into the park, the snowboarders are like, 'whoa, you can ski backwards on those things.' Then they're all like 'do a helicopter.' It's the funniest thing ever.

i used to race but i know some sick skiers who didn't race, so why can't it just be left alone, good skiers can come from almost anywhere but a superior attitude that you could out ski a racer is fucking wrong, cause all the racers i know can go anywhere on the mountain, park included(they're not pros but they can get by)

i used to race for like two years then i realized i sucked at it so i quit. but i also realized why it sucked for me, it was because i didn't care about beating anyone or getting down the course a tenth of a second faster. i like going fast for sure but not racing, i'm just to lazy the park is the shit

yes a spandex does make you go that much faster, it makes a huge difference, maybe not so much in slalom but for all the other events especially downhill the difference is huge, have you ever watched a downhill race? the skill and speed that is invovled is insane, have you ever gone 140km+ over a jump and gone 100 feet throught the air? as for Sherpa and a lot of other racers on this site we are just getting frustrated with all the anti racer remarks, i know there are a lot of racers out there that are pricks but there are a ton of us that aren't like that and spend just as much freeskiing and in the park then we do racing, almost all the racers in BC and Alberta are killer freeskiers and can rip in the park
