Replying to Who has watched the "kohl schoening promotional video"?
ive seen it in a few threads and i would just like to say that this epitomises what is wrong with skiing in many respects. the guy simply can't ski. i'm sorry to make you the center of conversation here as ive never met you and your probably a great bloke, but im damn sick of people who cant actually ski but can throw a corked 5 mute in the park or do a switch up or spin onto a rail. You could throw a lot in the park but when you went to drop a 20 foot cliff it looked like you had never skiied in your life. your technique was all wrong and this shows in your park skiing. you land a lot of jumps back seat, in fact you ski back seat pretty much full stop, your too erect, your hands are way too loose and spray from your body, and the list could go on. you might claim, "well thats my style", but at the end of the day, theres ten year old kids out there who can throw these tricks, which basically proves anyone can do it if they hav the balls. throw someone in the back country and in the pow and then you can see their true skiing ability, or even if you just analyse their park skiing, and im sorry to say it again, but u cant ski mate, and u are a big part of whats wrong with this ski industry. innovation is never going to occur from people who cant actually ski, because these park skiiers like yourself who cant actually ski to save their life, are so limited with technicality. park skiing is still skiing, and as long as this is the case, we can only take the sport so far if we're going to be park skiiers who cant ski. learn to ski before you hit the park, its better for the sport!
