Not sure how this helps out the AIDS crisis. Should have spent that time and money on a cure IMO...

no it doesnt mean they got it on with a chimp. They got it from eating bush meat, other wise known as eating monkey.

I guess by getting a look at how the virus has mutated they will better understand it and maybe be able to create some kinda of vaccine? I mean, if they have a simialr virus that isnt deadly... that could be a huge step towards prevention

Maybe these animals have an antistuff (dont no what the exact word in english is) for the hiv virus like pox and cowpox. These cow had the antistuff for it and helped a lot for creating for sulfing it
