Replying to Getting a Nikon D50... and Here are My Lens Options
Here is the deal, my local camera store has a Nikon D50 with a 18-55mm lens for $810(Canadian).
But, the cost of the Nikon D50 body is $648.
And the cost of the Nikon 18-55 lens that comes with the D50 package for $810 costs $210.
But now, here is the question... the Nikon 55-200mm lens is only $40 more then the 18-55mm lens ($250).
Should I just go for the D50 body and buy the 55-200mm lens seperate? Or should I go for the package? I save about $84 if I get the 18-55 lens with the package.
How much better is the 55-200mm lens compared to the 18-55mm?
But then, they also ave a Nikon D50 DSLR W/18-55/55-200 LENS.. I am assuming that is both of the lenses I listed above, but in one package. This costs $1036.
What is my best option here? Should I get one of the two packages? Or get the body and the lens seperate?
I plan to shot mountain biking, bmx, skateboarding, skiing, and some general shots (landscape, nature, architecture... etc).
Sorry for spacing it out so much, makes it easer for me to read... damn Dyslexia.
Thanks.
