i'm building a 25 ft, kinked pvc pipe rail, how should i anchor the rail into the ground without snow so that it won't be rickety or shaky when i jump on it? Thanx

well if you anchor it then it may be tough to move around, but if that is what you want get a post hole digger and put the legs of the rail right into the ground. just make sure the wood is pressure treated so that it doesn't just rot away. you could also probably just make feet and then put sand bags on them or something.

i use 3 12" metal nails, each through a hole in the base of each leg

I use 6" poel barn spikes, anything that you can pound in and pull out so it stays easy to move. It works great in the winter if you are lacking in snow, just leave a gap so you can use a hammer to pull em out, or be stupid like me and use a torch to melt the whole area.
