Replying to Imigration into canada

alright, so since there's an abundance of political threads going on right now, and lord piot brought up the imigration subject i felt it's deserving of it's on thread.

alright... racisim is bullshit - but my own family (well, my sister and father) are guilty of it.

my dad is just a racist pig and i don't like him (i love him, but i'm not friends with him), my sister on the other hand is the new kind of racist.

see - if you live in canda (or the us) and are not aborigional than you're family took that boat ride at some point in the last 200 (or so) years... what makes you so much better than those that are taking the boat over now? is it because you are white? no, probably not - it seams that now a days it's not so much of a colour issue so much as it is the language barrier that causes hate towards others these days.

There is no law for this, but perhaps we should regulate who works where - you are allowed to enter our country as an imagrent and work here, but until you can speak our language at the level where you can understand a question and answer it in a way that is understandable you are not allowed to work in a customer relations job.

Unfortunatly some people are so into their own lives they can't slow down and actually listen to what people are saying. They will hear an accent and stop listening (just assume that they arn't actually speaking english)... Now maybe they actually are completely incompetint and don't understand the person, but I'd like to believe that some humans arn't that stupid.

Now, I know our national language is english - oh wait - it's french too!!!.
So naturally you should feel the same hatrid towards that kid from quebec working at a mcdonalds in alberta as that east indian at the 711 in missasauga? but that's where the colour of the skin comes back into the picture.

the bottom line is this - sure the imagrents might not be skilled, but canada is a pieceful, free country - and most of the imagrents comming here are running away from a horrible life, and although working some crappy min. wage job in your adulthood might seam like a waste for those who are fortunate enough to live here - we still need someone to fill up our gas tanks, and they'd be more then willing to.
