holy shit - i'd say that anyone who says that skiers will never be as good as snowboarders got a huge slap in the face at the X-Games...

anyone know if they were going as big at the Open over the weekend?

until skier start throwing switch tricks back to back 15 feet out of the pipe, i think snow boarders will still have us in that area. still they did a shit load better then last years x games pipe comp.

I talked to a whole bunch of boarders at my hill who are sponsored and they all agreed the skiers put the boarders to shame in the pipe, and the Slopestyle too!

ya. for sure man. the style also comes much more easily to snowboarding give everything time. skiing is better for gettin air no doubt and as for the thing about switch - switch on a board is easy -if you're a half decent at the pipe you should be able to get out of the pipe. I know a lot of good skiers that just can't takeoff/spin switch.

one switch landing/hit combo in the pipe on skis rivals a whole switch run on a board. switch skiing is fucking backwards, not sideways where you can still have a decent range of vision.
it was hard to believe, but now with skiers going bigger in the pipe the movement has successfully taken over the reins in all disciplines. now how long will it take to get the nessessary respect?

bah. respect is individual. good boarders respect good skiers, skiers that talk shit on boarders and vice-versa don't deserve the respect.
