i bought some really cheap scott series 2 aluminum poles, so they get bent really easily, if it's not too bad, just ski with it, or try to bend it back
I have those series 2 ones too, and when i was getting on the lift, it came around fast and i was trying to get the strap off my wrist, and then before i knew it the chair was there and the guy sat on it. Its not that bad but i was just wondering what other people do with theirs.
I have the series 2. 3 days after i got them I was standing after a rain bow box (I was a good 15 feet below it, and atleast 15 feet off to the side)and this snowboarder decicded that he sucked balls at life and he took me out. I got the wind knowcked outta me and my new pole was bent into an "L" My freind bent it back on a snow gun for me so it was better... I guess. Then Last week I had money to spend so I got joysticks
if theyre bent & not broken, just hit them across a tree firmly, dont bash the shit out of the tree cos then youd just break your poles but had enough to move it a bit with each hit
My Scott Poles have been bent to hell and back. I always just bend them back.
My poles have kinks in them right now.
I will use them until they break.
When they break I will buy another pair.
make a new pair cut your ones off at the bend and cut the other one at the same length ..take a pair of x country poles and and cut the handles off slide your onees over top and tape them with duct tape
haha two of my friends broke this other kids pole and then blamed it on this other kid so he was all pissed at that kid. but first he saw the broken pole and he was like "what the hell is wrong with that kid???" and then he went over and kept trying to use the wax iron to melt his pole back together. it was so funny. but i usually just ski with them. poles are kind of overrated
buy some chep hollow poles. then fill them with magic fome that expands to the size. it gives it a bit of strengh. then do your own desing on the poles to make them "personal"
Best poles ever. they cost quite a bit, (100 canadian) but they can bend into a U shape and they just flex back instantly. also, the wrist straps release if you get the pole caught in a bush/fence/whatever. and the baskets thread on, so its easy to replace them.
leki ventrix poles are the best ive ever had...half aluminum half carbon... hella light. but they costed more than my first pair of twin tips (which i got for 45 bucks with bindings...jealous?) haha
i use mine till they break, ive gone through 3 pairs of poles since last year, broke 1 last year on a jump, broke both at whiteface last year from the half way point (cause im an idiot), then the ones i have now, one of them looks like a racing pole, if they are bent bad, try to bend them back, if they break, buy new ones, like cheap ones, i find there is no point on gettin joysticks, unless u have money to spend on something like that.
