as u all know, i have tried to build up hype about this new terrain park, and at the begining of the season it really had high hopes they switched things up it was all technical and fun, but recently it has been going down hill extremely fast... with the cat drivers not listening to the park crew and doing what they want and not listening to outside input, the park is going absolutely no where fast, they have destroyed 4 rails (our good ones) the bottom table is decent but the landing is no where steep enough as it should be, the rythem section of jumps is on the flats, and what is left of our decent rails is placed on the steeps, the rainbow box is decent minus the shoty welding which means u will be finding good sized dents in the bottom of your skis; they will only improve if you write to them and bug the crap outa them, and the only time the park looks decent is for a comp...

Yah I was there yesterday. It was ok. The rainbow was pretty much the only fun thing. The little step up was fun to mess around on I guess.

word to that.. and i really think the park crew doesnt know how to set up rails in the first place.(rainbow box on flat ground, rails on steeps 4 wide instead of in a row...
amd yes.. you got it.. last jump has nice kick and a flat landing... they need to chop up all the icy landings and restart.. and maybe blow some snow on the last kicker to make it longer and the landing taller.
but yea.. all hype and a shitty park crew to not back it up.

it wasn't their choice man... the cats have to bring the rails up and it is basically their choice where they go pretty ghey right?

well where they go is one thing.. having a shaped lip to the rail is another... it should be the duty(and job) of the park crew to maintain these when they get to work.. and periodically throughout the day.. and when they leave at night..
give me a shovel and a rake and ill do it.. i wanna uproot that flat box in the "rail garden" and put in on the landing of the jump next to it.. one spring day it will eb done..

Talk to Ian (Bangor) he is a park ranger, and trust me we ahve picked up shovels becasue either they don't know there is a problem with the lip or they just don't fix it so a couple firends and i have actually done that duty...

The last jump face is like 5 ft wide too. Looks more like an aerials jump. No room to carve up it at all.

yeah...
i work in the park when im home from college, and let me tell you its a headache.
the park rangers get little to no input on park construction and design, the groomer does it all (he doesnt even snowboard). and when lips are built incorrectly, the park rangers cannot even fix them because 1 the whole thing is usually made wrong, and is out of the qestion for mere handwork, and 2 instead of being able to do the job they are supposed to do, they are stuck in the top shack issuing park passes.
Don't fault the park rangers, a number of them have been talking loudly to upper management nad have simply not been heard. the problem comes with the attitude towards the park that jiminy peak has, and a horrible horrible groomer. because jiminy peak is my home mountain when im not at school, i would really like to see the mountain change its support of the park program. this will only be done if guests complaints are heard. please, if you ever have the opportunity, complain long, hard and loud. that is the only way things will change for the better at jiminy peak.
