why?....I think this shows how retarded he actually is. I heard he did the jump first with no ski's on and just hockey equipment, and then put some ski's on and took only half the equipment off and dropped it ( to his head obviously). When he slammed into the snow " stomped " was apparently heard throughout the resort.
dude, physics???? Tanner had some horizontal velocity, he wasnt just acted on by gravity and im sure Pierre reached a way higher speed. Pierres impact was wayyyyyyyyyyyyy bigger im sure
Umm yeah sure, that makes sense if the skier actually continues moving down the steep slope as he lands (ie; deflects his angle as opposed to stopping).
This guy hit the ground and stopped dead, hence the 6ft bombhole. The "steep slope" doesn't mean a thing if you just pile straight into it without moving.
HAHA! That's fucking amazing. Anyone who thinks this guy is an idiot is soooo wrong. 245 footer, lands on his head...cuts his lip. This boy knows what he's doing!
not 100% sure but with skis on its impossible to hit 186 at any height.. wind resistance cuts down on your speed making terminal velocity around 130ish
ok my friend showed me this thread earlier today and I honestly thought he was using a parachute. I was just like "cool". It never even croseed my mind that he could acctually be droping that whole thing, it didnt seem possible to me. Jamie pierre is most definatly my new hero
acceleration of gravity is 9.8m/sec/sec. They said he fell for 4 seconds. That would put him at 39.2 meters per second, or 87 miles per hour by the time he hit the ground. Minus a couple of mph for wind resistance that increased throughout the trop. Looks like he was not that close to terminal velocity, which is 129 mph for a skydiver, probably pretty similar for a skier in a vertical position with skis on.
OK pierre, we're impressed. You can stop now.
He's good a what he does. I don't like him one bit, but to have the guts it would take to want it jump off that is beyond me. WITHOUT A FUCKING HELMET. Not that it would do that much, as fast as he's going the helmet's wearing him for protection. He needs to go back up and do it again, can't claim till you land it right...just kidding, he's crazy, it'll be cool to watch, but he should become a Hollywood stuntman if all he's gonna do is jump off tall things, they get paid more.
