how do u catch air in a quarter pipe?

I can ski up it but dont know what to do to catch air and come back down. Any advice would be good.

alpentalik??? when catching air in a qp don't really jump cos then you'll land in the flats.. try just riding up and popping

1.)Speed!
2.)While going up the wall, bend knees
3.)give a slight pop off of lip and extend your legs, then do your trick

dont pop too much or ull be in the flats and break your legs, and pop enough so u dont deck it (cuz those things hurt and dont look cool)

just go up fast and turn your head and spot the landing after your out of the pipe.

Don't bend your legs going up the tranny, that will totally fuck you up. Extend your legs in the tranny so the when you get to the vert you're already standing up. The just pick up your knees, turn and extend your knees to match the wall. If the wall is too under-vert, just pop off with your tails. If anyone doubts this, your dumb because it came from a COC coach/partial founder who runs our park.

okay now you need to french fry, not piazza, or your going to have a bad time...then you jump at the top of the pipe, and come back down...now did you get all that.

A ski resort I went to had a quarterpipe that wasn't steep at all, it was built like a jump.
I didn't find this out until after I cleared the other side and landed on my back on the chunks of ice behind it.
An hour later I saw some snowboarders hit it and do the same thing. great fun
