Help with pipe?

Hey my friends doing a pipe competition but has never been in a pipe. He has all day to practice. Does anyone ahve some simple tips for him.

sharpen your edges up underfoot. HELPS A TON! and just pump to carry your speed like you would over rollers

yeah sharp edges. make sure to pump when you land and as you are going up the next transition.

what made him decide to to a pipe comp if he has never been in one before?

sharp eges, pump and make sure to pop of lip, but dont do it too much or yull land flat but sometimes if u dont u could slip yur noses if yur off balance, which hurts
