November 5th: a sad day in American history.

November 6th: the beginning of the end.

For the first time since the Eisenhower years in the 1950's, one party controls the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives. Bush can now do whatever the fuck he wants for the next 2 years, and there's really nothing any of us can do about it. What the fuck is the matter with the American public? This was one of the lowest voter turnouts ever and I guess people are more concerned with what's happening on the Osbournes than how our country is falling apart. 2 million people lost their jobs in the past 2 years, unemployment has risen 35% since Bush took office, the stock market is down 34%, the US surplus of 281 billion dollars has turned into a deficit of 157 billion dollars, and it looks like we're gonna go to war with a country.

Well I'm completely distraught over the outcome of yesterdays election, but I also realize that if we don't start to seriously organize and get our shit together by 2004, all will be lost. 2 years is a long time and will probably be a disaster, but 6 more years of a Bush regime will be a worldwide catastrophe. Actually it will probably only take 2 years, but I'm trying to be optimistic. So hold on to your seat and get ready for more terrorism, more war, more oil drilling, more pollution, more companies cashing out, more worldwide hatred of Americans, more police, more prisons, more wars on drugs, more isolationism, etc.

At least we will be seeing a lot less of certain things. Less media coverage of what's really going on in the world (if that's even possible), less jobs, less civil rights, less human rights, less gun control, less medicare, less social security, less election reforms, less countries Americans will be safe in, less prosperity, and a whole lotta less freedom. I guess for Bush, less is more.

Yes things are looking really bad, but unlike Bush, we now have a real enemy that we can find, and we have 2 years to figure out how to get rid of the Bitch. Hey, and if that doesn't work I know some great people down in Australia. The beer is pretty good and there seems to be plenty of room in the outback for all of us. They even speak English.
